Kibera is one of the most misunderstood communities in the world. The outside world sees poverty. Sats4Safari sees pioneers. My name is Susan Obat and I founded Sats4safri. Sats4Safari is a first-of-its-kind Bitcoin walking tour concept being developed in Kibera, Nairobi, a vision that will take visitors beyond the headlines and into the heart of a community already embracing Bitcoin as a real financial tool. Why it started is deeply personal. Kibera has long been defined by what it lacks. But walk through its diverse neighbourhoods and you will find something remarkable, people quietly choosing Bitcoin as a hedge against Kenya's rising inflation. Mama mbogas, small business owners, everyday residents, embracing a decentralized currency the world told them was not for them. Sats4Safari was born to show that story to the world. What Sats4Safari will do is simple but revolutionary. Tourists will walk through Kibera spending sats at real local businesses, meeting real people, hearing real stories, experiencing Bitcoin adoption not as a theory but as a living, breathing reality across the community's diverse neighbourhoods, not just concentrated in one area. How education is already happening is just as powerful. Through the support of the My First Bitcoin team, I recently graduated the first online cohort of Sats4Safari, five community members who chose their own Bitcoin wallets, learned on their own terms, and proved that Bitcoin education belongs in Kibera. Who it targets is everyone, curious tourists, global Bitcoin enthusiasts, and Kibera residents ready to own their financial future. When the dream launches is soon. Because Kibera has already embraced Bitcoin. Sats4Safari is simply here to show the world. "The world came to Kibera to see poverty. I invite them to come back and see the future of money."
