get to know each other, collaborate and, together, drive Bitcoin adoption in Paraguay. The first meetup gathered about 50 people (mainly expats and nomads), the second 65 and the third more than 80. At the beginning everything was in English, but soon we wanted to really impact the locals. We started workshops and meetups in Spanish with great success. The community grew rapidly and we reached events of over 150 people during the bull run in early 2025. Now we do two monthly meetups: Spanish on the first Wednesday and English on the third Saturday. We always start with a workshop for beginners and sometimes have lectures. Our mission is to increase local adoption, educate Paraguayans and build a circular economy with Bitcoin. Today about 40 businesses in Assumption accept Bitcoin and we host a “Lightning Marketplace” at meetups where merchants can sell their products or offer services. We count on a small team for coordination and volunteers. We do 5-6 events a month - the weekly meetups, BitDevs and Bitcoin Walks on Saturdays. We recently launched, thanks to Gabriel and his MFB expertise, a high-quality beginner course that the community has been asking for for a long time.Team
